What you’ll be doing
- The coop/intern is expected to shadow a senior Product engineer (mentor) to explore + understand + learn Product engineering domain.
- This co-op will tilt more on Yield & Characterization focused data analysis tasks along with other PE areas.
- The student will receive hands-on training and is expected to become an improved logical thinker and problem solver.
- The student is expected to learn applied semiconductor knowledge as well as basic manufacturing flow.
- Lead analysis of issues that arise post-silicon (process, yield, device)
- Drive yield and performance distribution improvements across wafer sort, final test, and SLT
- Ensuring the delivery of optimized test points and product definitions across PVT corners to meet business requirements.
- Developing characterization and test coverage strategies for Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Drive execution of the characterization and test plans on new silicon
Additionally, the PE is responsible for ensuring the defined product meets customer requirements and is the primary technical interface with the design, platform validation and business teams.
What you should have
Relevant coursework completed in Statistics, Solid State and Semiconductor Device Physics, Computer Architecture, Digital and Analog Design, Semiconductor Manufacturing Process.
Strong attention to details and an ability to learn on the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentations skills.
Ability to design experiments and analyze results to solve problems
Basic to Moderate Proficiency SQL, Python or other Data analysis & visualization tools.
Self-starter, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART: (At least 1 or more of these)
Prior relevant industry experience with focus on PE/ data analysis and or Characterization centric job roles.
Strong Proficiency in SQL, Python, Data analysis & visualization tools (Power BI).
Currently, pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
