What you’ll be doing
On behalf of a global financial services firm, build Application Program Interfaces (APIs), products, and services for Cards Platform business.
Develop large-scale, fault-tolerant systems utilizing Java/J2EE, RESTful Web Services, JMS, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Hibernate, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and Oracle
PL/SQL.
Develop scripts for software product containerization using Docker container technology.
Assist with designing of scalable platforms, asynchronous, functional, and reactive systems.
Automate software delivery using Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and scripts to deploy IT applications in on-premise Kubernetes implemented Red Hat Openshift cloud platform.
Utilize application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines knowledge and apply across all systems to improve software.
Design and develop scripts to automate unit and Integrations test cases using Selenium, Junit, cucumber framework.
Apply software best practices such as TDD/BDD, and track and manage progress, utilizing Agile practices and project management tools JIRA, Confluence, Stash.
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications in Java.
Use high level and low level design skills to meet business needs and develop, enhance, and maintain web applications.
Develop multiple interfaces by reusing modules using MVC architecture.
Create and use Web Services in REST, SOAP.
Write Maven scripts to build and deploy Java applications.
Use databases including Oracle and PL/SQL.
Work with stakeholders to collect and understand information and business requirements to meet requests.
Utilize IT tools and technologies including Core Java, J2EE, Web Services, Struts, JavaScript, Ajax, Servlets, HTML, JDBC, RDBMS, SQL, XSD, XSLT, HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, Spring MVC, Microservices, Oracle, Apache Tomcat, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, XML, Jquery, Maven, RAD, and RSA.

What you should have
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related technical field and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in role offered or as Software/Application Developer, IT Project/Team Lead, or related position.
In the alternative, employer will accept Master’s degree in stated fields and three (3) years of experience in stated occupations. Three (3) years of experience must include: Designing and developing software according to API specifications and guidelines.
Designing and developing RestfulAPIs using SpringBoot, SpringData, JMS, Hibernate, Java Database Connectivity, and SQL. Building automated unit and integration testing scripts.
Building services and tools that support containerized applications to run on cloud platforms. Developing secured software incorporating HTTPS, SSL, vault, consul, encryption and cryptography to secure and protect credentials.
Building and testing automated CI/CD pipelines and tools using Jenkins, Shell scripts, or equivalent.
