About UPS Capital Senior Attorney
UPS Capital provides financial and insurance solutions to businesses of all sizes. The company is currently seeking a Senior Attorney to join its legal team. In this role, the Senior Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel to the organization on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property.
What will you do at UPS Capital Senior Attorney?
Provides legal and regulatory guidance throughout the product development lifecycle for new and existing products and features
Advises UPS Capital’s leadership team and the sales, strategy, marketing, product, compliance, and operations teams on a broad range of issues related to product development and commercialization
Helps ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to new and existing products, including those related to financial services, licensing, data security and privacy, consumer protection, marketing, and advertising issues
Reviews product and sales collateral
Helps build effective and scalable processes for the launch and maintenance of new products and features
Administers and facilitates legal and regulatory training across the organization
Remains up to date on applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations
Qualification required for UPS Capital Senior Attorney?
Possesses knowledge and experience with insurance, financial services and payments regulations, digital technology, product, marketing, compliance, and commercial law matters
Demonstrates strong working knowledge of data and privacy issues with an interest in learning more
Displays ability and desire to work on a wide variety of matters, including those outside of subject-matter expertise
Displays superior analytical, drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Possesses excellent communication (written/verbal) skills; is intellectually curious and deeply interested in technology and has an entrepreneurial mindset (flexible, self-starting and hard-working)
J.D. degree with strong academic credentials and GA or other state bar membership in good standing
Minimum 7 years of law firm or in-house legal experience
Experience working with and advising teams across different global regions and liaising with outside counsel for support
Experience at a fintech or insuretech firm or advising fintech or insuretech clients strongly
Experience with Compliance Management
